About Walk:Enabled
Walk:Enabled CIC was founded in 2021, by Dr Miranda Asher, to provide practical support, information and services for people living with mobility issues, limb difference and amputation. We offer specialist physiotherapy, disability inclusion training and consultancy services. Working with our partners, we also conduct and participate in community-led research into topics such as improved school access and adapted exercise.
Walk:Enabled CIC aims to improve quality of life for people with movement disabilities by creating access to clear information and greater accessibility to activities of work, rest and play. We take a data driven, community led approach to everything we do. Our vision is for all people with movement disorders to have equal opportunity to the general population to participate in education, work, physical activity and leisure pursuits with autonomy in the management of their condition.

We work with a range of organisations, from charity partners, prosthetics and technology companies, to schools, universities and research networks, supporting the adoption of best practice in accessibility and inclusion.
LimbPower - the national charity supporting amputees and individuals with limb impairments in physical activity, sport and the arts to improve quality of life and to aid lifelong rehabilitation.
Steps - the leading charity working for all those whose lives are affected by childhood lower limb conditions
Design Prosthetics - a private prosthetics company helping people to get their dream prosthesis
The Starworks Network - The Starworks Network was a young people's prosthetics research collaboration funded and supported by the National Institute for Health and Care Research between 2016-2025. It took a co-design approach to bring children and families together with experts from healthcare, academia and industry, to creatively explore and address unmet needs in this area
TG0 - a technology platform that makes it possible for designers and engineers to quickly innovate and bring new physical user experiences to the next generation of products
