Walk:Enabled CIC
W:E exists to make activity, participation and everyday life more accessible to people with movement disabilities of all ages and abilities
Adapted Exercise, Activities and Events
We have developed adapted exercise programmes and offer exercise services, activities and support for partner events in order to help disabled people take part in physical activity in ways that work for them. We also help to make existing activities and programmes more accessible, sharing practical approaches to adaptation and inclusion.
Amputee Physiotherapy
Offering at-home and at-sports-location assessment and treatment services for amputees and people with limb difference who need specialist input, including those working towards returning to sport or activity, and people who need support beyond what statutory services can provide. We take a practical, individual approach, helping people understand what is possible and find ways to achieve their goals.
Research and Inclusion Project Management and Consultancy
Practical Support and Training to Improve Access to Schools
We work with disabled people, charities, commercial organisations and other partners to lead or advise on projects which explore accessibility problems and solutions. Our work is community-led and data-driven, with the aim of making participation more equal and giving people greater autonomy in managing their own conditions.
We provide specialist advice and practical support for individuals and schools to help overcome barriers to participation in all of school life, including training to support dignity, mobility around school and inclusion in classes and extra-curricular activities. We can also work with organisations to understand where barriers exist and identify practical changes that can make their services, activities and environments more accessible.
Public Speaking and Knowledge Sharing
Medical Information Resources
Drawing on clinical experience and work with communities, we offer talks for conferences, companies, and communities. Exploring topics which range from adapted physical activity and designing programmes that work in practice to practical solutions for accessibility and disability inclusion. We aim to make complex issues understandable, useful and engaging, with a focus on what people and organisations can actually do differently.
Following a rigorous process of research, feedback and review, we create high-quality medical information resources incorporating the latest clinical best practice with clinician and patient feedback. We tailor these resources to the required audience, using age and experience-appropriate language suitable for adults, children or clinicians.
